K.K. questions for 7/17

1. At the beginning of page 285, Shipka talks about the limitations of tasking students with specific, prescriptive assignments. Are they any advantages whatsoever to these types of assignments?

2. Shipka suggests that "students have a much richer imagination for what might be accomplished in the course than our journals have yet even begun to imagine, let alone to address" on page 282. Do you agree with this, and if so, how will this effect your classroom?
