John Oldenborg- Questions 7/5


In response to Royster, do you think there are any standout class or group activities that could help students to “talk back” to each other, in order to combat a “you talk, I talk” scenario? (Do you value student’s being able to freely respond to each other, and if so, how would you make sure they are doing so constructively?)

What are some good ways to begin the conversation of identity, race, and cultural context in the classroom to help students develop a mutual curiosity for each other, so they can better understand each other’s voices?
