Q 1. According to Belanoff, communal judgment and students’ understanding of the standard are pivotal in grading. Failing this step, I guess, can lead students to claim the grade they received. Do you have any experience having trouble with students with their grades? How did you handle the situation?
Q 2. Daiker emphasizes the importance of praise in education. But in a circumstance in which instructors should grade students papers, don’t you think praises and low grade would be contradictory? Or do you have any idea about making two features compatible?
Welcome! This blog acts as a space for you to critically reflect on the readings and better absorb the material, and it puts you in conversation with your peers about their understanding of the material. Blog posts are due by 8pm the night before class.
